This unit students will need; their reader (the volleyball section), their motivation packet, the health and skill related concepts of fitness packet, and their forearm pass technique testing sheet.
Every day this unit students will participate in their daily warm up (6pts) and a work out of the day (10pts). These can be made up if absent by scheduling a make up during Wed. 8am or a students free block.
This unit students will learn the skills and strategy of volleyball and participate in games, (kings court and tournament style) while emphasizing the life skills of acceptance and motivation. Students will cheer, high five and encourage each other even when on the inside they might be frustrated. They will run team practices and discuss area's of improvement including everyone as a valued member of their team. Students will have to meet with their instructor to make up work in their motivation packet, fitness/health packet and in their reader.
